Desperate for Jesus?

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” Jeremiah 29:13

You know that in order to be healed, in order for your life to change, you need Jesus and you will not let him pass you by. You are crying out and yelling from the inside no matter how many negative people and how many negative situations are there to keep you quiet. Your action to respond to this post shouted at the top of your lungs because you wanted to be carelessly notice by Jesus.

Come to think about it, you remind me of Bartimaeus, the blind man in Luke 18. Here we meet Bartimaeus (Mk 10:48), a man who was probably blind since birth. He was an outcasts, one of the unlovely, a poor man who was at the mercy of others.

One day he hears a commotion only find Jesus is walking close to where he is sitting. He had heard of Jesus and immediately calls out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” (vs.38,39) Those who led the way told him to quiet but he called out even more desperately and more loudly than before… and Jesus stops.

Let us stop here and learn from this blind man.

This blind man is very much like the persistent widow. He would not give up and neither has you.

.Jesus hears the blind man’s desperate shouts and gives him sight. Jesus loves to help those who seek him. Thousands of years have gone by and Jesus has not changed. Our pleas for help, mercy, compassion, healing, strength and provision is sweet to his ears and joy to his heart.  So don’t ever be afraid to cry out to him for anything and everything and then trust that he will do what is best.
