Hit And Miss Kitchen Tips: This Can Mold and Get Slimy Faster

Don’t rinse produce before you’re going to eat it. Otherwise, it can mold and get slimy faster, eewww.

Okay, I'm all for saving money in the kitchen so I did some research on the subject and came across a site recommended "Just for Dummies" way to save money in the kitchen. So the tipster wanted to convey, share a list of suggestions to help cut cost of family meals and stress that every tip helps when you’re trying to save money in the kitchen. Some suggestions are practical, helpful and then others are....read them.

Keep lettuce fresh longer by rinsing and drying it thoroughly. Cool. Okay, she wants us to try to get all the excess air out of the bag we store it in, good. Lettuce keeps for as long as a week this way if it’s dry before you place it in the bag. Alright.

Now this one idk...Tipster recommend us save the bits and pieces of leftover pie crust in a zip-top bag in the freezer. Then when we have enough in the bag, we can make another pie crust or two from the thawed pieces. Really?

Another suggestion is that you, dear reader, use half the amount of meat called for in recipes. Add inexpensive vegetables or pasta to fill in for the missing meat. By now I'm thinking a school lunch lady is our beloved tipster.

Stretch ground beef. Stir in cut-up bread crusts, oatmeal, homemade breadcrumbs, cracker crumbs, or plain cereals. Our tipster thinks this a great way to use up stale crackers. So she is suggesting that we season fresh ground beef with tasteless stale crackers? Is it something to consider doing?
